AHD TOPAZ:
The much loved AHD Fury and SL-2 ranges were always going to be a tough act to follow, especially with one model to replace all but the biggest SL-2, so the new Topaz has to be something very special.
Rest assured, it is - we spent an extra 6 months perfecting every aspect to launch into our 2020 program!
Specially developed for those Windfoil sailors wanting to keep to a design with an excellent Freerace program built in, the Topaz offers optimised shapes for an outstanding level of performance, control and comfort, as you are only fast when you feel comfortable and in control!
With their wide scope of intended usage, the Topaz has to be great with both Fin or Foil.
For Windfoiling, this means more tail width, deeper concave deck, softer nose/forward rail shapes/bow rocker and the footstrap positions are all optimised for Foiling in a wide range of conditions with all makes of foils fitted with a Deep Tuttle Head!
For Windsurfing, we have paid great attention to the combination of scoop (rocker) vee & concaves along the entire hull length, to give excellent early planning and very fluid gybing with a lot of attention given to the tail cut outs, ensuring the extra tail width does not compromise control or speed when using a fin in Freeride/Freerace mode and that the footstrap positions which work so well with a foil, work just as well with the fin!
The Topaz is a great windsurf board, and although not supplied with a Fin in most countries, but the importer for the UK have elected to supply them with top quality Select Deep Tuttle Edge G10 fin, as we know that great boards deserve a great fin to help you get the most fun and the best all round control & performance.

AFS Foils:
The AFS 85 benefits from the same profile design as the AFS 95.
Its shorter mast makes it the most accessible foil in our range. By reducing its drag this foil does not require flying high while also making launching and landing more comfortable.
The F-700a wing supplied is optimised to bring easy access, excellent control and great wind range to the moderately short but dynamic AFS 85, making this the perfect foil for many beginners to experienced riders looking for a great foil for most conditions and locations.
It can then be fitted with most of the AFS 'W' Series Wings to keep you flying your W85 as your skills grow, along with your desire to foil all the time!
The W85 is now lighter and even stiffer thanks to our new 85cm Hollow Mast (just like the W95/W105 range) but only the W85 in the 'AFS W range' features a Dismountable Mast and Fuselage, or a Bonded and Carbon Pinned Mast to Fuselage joint (just like the W95 and W105).
The Fuselage is the same as that of the W95 and W105 apart from the dismountable Mast feature, ensuring super compact storage in the very neat bag provided.
The W85 is now lighter and even stiffer thanks to our new 85cm Hollow Mast (just like the W95/W105 range) but only the W85 in the 'AFS W range' features a Dismountable Mast and Fuselage, or a Bonded and Carbon Pinned Mast to Fuselage joint (just like the W95 and W105), while still maintaining the excellent stability / trajectories / Vmax ratio we are so well known for with our full range.
The combination of all these features/components provides very comfortable foiling in a wide range of winds/conditions for riders from beginner to experienced, making the W85 very widely recommended as The Perfect Choice for most recreational riders!

This foil is evolutionary, so can be upgraded with any of the current range of wings from the AFS 'W' range recommended below for the dismountable W85.
The 2019> Hollow Mast W85 sets entirely new standards for such an accessible price while still being Full Pre-Preg Carbon Composite construction - Something which is important to consider when comparing with other products, and of course the W85 is now approx. 0.8kg lighter (almost 20%) at just 4.1kg!
As before, remember that we build all our foils without Aluminium or any other materials that can limit performance or rider communication as well as product durability, so you can be sure your ASF W85 foil will not only be a delight to ride, but will be strong and durable, flying really well for a long time.
